New publication on the influence of green signals on the financing success of start-ups in Small Business Economics

Dr. Verena Hossnofsky, Patrick-Peter Herold, Dr. Franziska Schlichte and Prof. Dr. Sebastian Junge have published an article in Small Business Economics, one of the leading journals for entrepreneurship.

In the article “Green signals of new ventures: Investigating the impact of environmental orientation on funding and the moderating role of lead venture capitalists”, the authors revealed that the environmental orientation of a start-up, in the sense of a green signal, has a positive effect on funding success. This is reinforced if prominent investors are among the investors, thus legitimizing the start-up’s orientation vis-à-vis the investors.
